A merry weekend in Kozhikode with a forlorn friend!

Once there was a time, when the Karunyans used to long for the weekends. But since the time we stepped onto the final year, weekends have been dull. You walk along the corridor of any floor in JVR Residence, you will be greeted with guys drooling over a game of Counter Strike or somebody playing an emotional Tamil Blockbuster on his already-distorted-speakers. On one such dull Friday, BJ enunciated: "Hey how about a surprise visit to EBOOK-BABA's native?" I affirmed, when I got a thumbs up from MARIA-MARIA (EBOOK-BABA's sibling).
The tour planner looked comfy, but the journey to Kozhikode was disastrous. Not a single KSRTC had Kozhikode on their destination list. The day was so pathetic, that even the private buses showed us the door. Finally, when we got a bunk to lay our asses, the conductor asked us to share it with two more folks! Hence, I was sandwiched between a potbellied Mallu uncle and a half-asleep-smelly vagabond. It took me a dozen of Ramdev Baba poses to carve in between them. 350 bucks and a quarter seat, phew!
A bit of modelling
It was sharp 4 o' clock when our bus arrived at Kozhikode. The journey made my spine semi-paralyzed. EBOOK-BABA and his dad, with their car, came to our rescue. He was definitely cursing us for waking him up earlier than the chirping birds! His mom and sister welcomed us at the entrance. It's in Hindu ritual, when you meet somebody ages elder to you, you seek their blessings by touching their feet. I obeyed. MARIA-MARIA exclaimed in awe: "What? Seriously!"

EBOOK-BABA is too serious!
DAY 1: How bad the planning can be, when you decide to rove Sarovaram Biopark on a Valentine's Day! Every couple was giving us the stare: "What these gays are doing here!" BJ was pressing us to run from there, but EBOOK-BABA dragged us to the boat riding spot. It was fun, even though we had to endure BJ's fake phrases like "We missed you EBABA", "When you gonna return", etc.
Evening journey to Beypore was much fun-filled. When it comes to beach football, Kerala is a hit! And I so much love watching the game! Some shooting scene was going on by the sea shore and people were bursting in. It didn't attract us tough! The walkway which extends deep into the sea was enchanting. It was dusk by 7 pm. On our return way, we stopped by a Biriyani center. During our college days EBABA hyped alot about Malabar Biriyani. This was the best opportunity to taste in. My verdict is: it was overhyped! The prawn-fry was pretty good.
Above all, the home-made choco lava by MARIA-MARIA made us to lick our fingers!

DAY 2: EBABA's lazy schedule and a Indo-Pak World Cup duel made us to stay at home on Sunday morning. I was glued to the TV, until MARIA-MARIA initiated the debate "Virat Kohli is hot or not". Somebody said, girls are more into cricketers than cricket. Definitely! Pakistan's frequent wicket falls and Aunty's special lunch made us so elated. Finally the match was out of their grip and we decided to ride to Focus Mall. A game of bowling lured us. I was the boss with 88 points which had two clean hits. EBABA's pissed off expression was priceless. He put the money in for a second round and beat me black and blue with 111 points. Phew! That was some of a duel. BJ the loser, with least points in both the rounds, cashed in on mango shake for all three of us. A delightful end to our day!

Ahem! Ahem!

GOODBYE to the girl I admired!

Hey Fair & Lovely,

This was about to come, one or the other day. I never blogged, even though I loved to write. But you didn't leave me an option. You blocked me up from every inch of space - be it on Facebook or from your busy life. What you cited, ached me up more. "Darling, we don't have a future", your words, aren't they? You left me in the rots to ponder, which "we" were you referring to. The besties - you and me, or the sweethearts - you and me?

Hope your GATE went well! So it is the last week before you fade away from the campus. Ahh..whom would I stare to! Just half an hour ago, completed "The Fault In Our Stars". Heart wrenching, heart aching love-story. The way how Augustus Waters cared for Hazel Grace, a cancer patient, even though he himself was an amputee, left me in spellbound! We are lucky enough, that we aren't handicapped, still missed the affection which Augustus and Hazel had. Maybe, I didn't have it in me when you had, and vice-versa. Second year, when we parted ways, and now final year, still I MISS you so much.

Nescafe Days!

We all have to do mistakes to learn. I did, and I swear I learnt up. Missing you every day, changed me. I miss how much you liked me. Fact is, when I was a kid in school, all I ever wanted was to be in love and have a girlfriend. Then when I got older, after being a failure in the JEE, I thought its high time I should work my ass off, and be the smart ass in the CSE department. I was partly successful, by of-course, competing with you. The graph of my love for the books went so high, that I failed to notice the love which you had for me. You understood, and changed your track. And look at me now, I am in tatters. The longing for you, made me a Devdas. Damn.

I remember the first hug we had. We reached up-to H section, fifteen minutes early. I was nervous, so were you. I approached, but hesitated. You longed your arms. It eased my blood pressure. Finally, I was in your arms, for a mere 10 seconds. But it was heaven! I miss the hugs. I miss your cheek kisses. I miss being with you. It's 1:27 am, and I am lively enough to type my heart out!

Don't know, if you would ever stumble upon this piece of gratitude. If you do, even if its too late, just let me know. So I would know, it reached you. You have my number right? Or else you can check up at the bottom of the penultimate mail, which I sent you during the winters of 2014. If you have recycle-bind the mail already, do leave a comment here. It would definitely dwindle the pain a bit. LOVE you more than how much you love having those Dairy Milks.

Yours "I-still-don't-know-what-to-type-here",

PS: Was playing this romantic song while typing this up! Lend me your ears.

FIFA 14 with Northern Wolves FC

Well, into the final semester of my college life. Rather being busy with the assigned project, I am lazing around my time on FIFA. It is, in-fact, the story of my life since last two years! You see those players in the list, I would say a 80% of them were instituted into the game called football, when their bulgy tummies started protruding out. They needed a healthy respectable physique, football provided them with their need. We gelled up as a team very soon, and that’s when the idea of our online team popped into my mind. There you go! I sat down, created around two dozen players and replaced them into the Admira FC team. Finally, we are on FIFA now, the virtual ones!
Northern Wolves FC squad
The ratings, up-to my knowledge, isn't biased. One may interrogate, how can Dhiraj have 64, and a non-regular Susan have 65? Well, Susan has far more attacking skills combined to the defensive skills that Dhiraj possess! There maybe a few doubts regarding the inclusion of Amol, Dibya, Saurav and Piyush, then again, I would say I needed a 22 member squad and I was lacking 4 members. So decided to swap in our cricket pals to our football squad! Apologies, if the jersey numbers assigned to your names, don’t go with your favorite number! I, Hrisav, do lack a bit of acceleration in the game, but that suffice the real qualities in me as a player. Only con which I endured while making this is that there's a limitation of how healthy I can make a person. So Pujan, isn't a Pujan in the game! He has lost a few pounds. Hailing from North-East, I decided to nominate Amol as the fastest player in the team, and the slowest one? Saurav, of-course, who else! Kunal looks the most realistic in the game - fair, stout and concise!  This squad is just a screenshot of a game in the whole season, so Nitish, don't be offended that despite having a 63, you are in the reserves!
